What is pre-cooling?
Running the air conditioner a little harder while solar panels are producing, around midday and early afternoon, so the house is already cool when the panels fade and electricity costs the most. The house then coasts through the peak.
When are peak prices?
It depends on your plan. Many Southern California Edison time-of-use plans charge the most in the late afternoon and evening. We set your thermostat schedule to the hours on your own plan.
Do I need a battery?
No. Pre-cooling works without a battery by storing coolness in the house itself. A battery can help further, but it is not required.
Do you install solar panels?
No. GlowFront does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only. We work with the solar system you already have.
Does GlowFront do design work?
No. Creations is part of the business name, not the trade. GlowFront does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only.
